Hana Chang

Hana Chang is a Borletti-Buitoni Fellowship recipient and a member of BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artist Scheme 2024-2026. She was also nominated as one of Classic FM’s Rising Stars of 2024 and was a winner of the 2023 Young Classical Artists Trust and Concert Artists Guild International Auditions held at Wigmore Hall.

In the 2024/25 season, Hana was named a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition in Brussels and made her debut with the BBC Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Sinfonia Viva and CBSO Youth Orchestra among others. Together with a stellar ensemble of YCAT artists past and present, Hana embarked on a European Tour in early 2025, celebrating the charity’s 40th anniversary, performing at some of Europe’s most prestigious halls.

This season she appears with the BBC Symphony and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestras as part of her tenure as a BBC New Generation Artist, as well as performing at Tonhalle Zurich, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Konzerthaus Dortmund and making her debut at the Frankfurt Alte Oper.

Hana plays on a 1647 Nicolo Amati violin, kindly on loan from the Rin Collection in Singapore.
