Novo Quartet

Since their formation in 2018, the NOVO Quartet has rapidly established itself as one of the most compelling young chamber ensembles on the international stage. From the outset, the quartet has combined technical excellence with a strong sense of artistic curiosity, qualities that continue to define their work today.

The quartet performs more than 75 concerts annually and has appeared in leading venues including Wigmore Hall and Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle. Alongside these engagements, they have undertaken extensive international touring, performing across Europe, Africa, the Arctic region, and South America.

Their achievements include top prizes at the Geneva, Heidelberg, Carl Nielsen, and Trondheim competitions. In 2025, they were selected as BBC New Generation Artists for 2025–27, strengthening their profile in the UK. From autumn 2025, they also serve as Ensemble in Association at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

The NOVO Quartet’s debut album, TRACK 1 (2025), featuring works by Nielsen, Shostakovich, and Vestergård, has received significant critical acclaim, including five-star reviews from Politiken and an Editor’s Choice from Gramophone Magazine.

"NOVO Quartet brings freshness to everything they play… with interpretative depth way beyond their years”
